Search suppressed listing

Amazon hid your listing. Is the main image why?

A main image that breaks one of Amazon's rules is one of the most common reasons a listing drops out of search. Drop it here — in seconds you'll see which rule it fails, by how much, and the Seller Central source.

First, find Amazon's reason

Amazon shows why a listing is suppressed — it just doesn't make it easy to find. Menu names differ slightly between marketplaces.

  1. 01Open your inventory. In Seller Central, go to Inventory → Manage All Inventory.
  2. 02Filter to suppressed listings. Use the "Search Suppressed" filter at the top of the list.
  3. 03Read the reason. Open the listing's next steps or the listing quality view — Amazon names the field or rule it failed.

If the reason mentions the image

These are the main-image requirements we check, each with its exact threshold. The check above tests all of them at once.

If it isn't the image

We only check images. If your photo passes, the reason is usually in the listing data — fix it from the suppressed listing in Seller Central:

  • Missing required attributes. Brand, item type or category-specific fields left empty.
  • Title problems. Too long for the category, or with words or characters Amazon disallows.
  • Prohibited or unverified claims. Wording in the title, bullets or description that the category does not allow.
  • Product ID issues. A GTIN/UPC that does not match the product or the brand.
